No Such Thing as Bad Publicity – Charlie Sheen is Proof

OK, so yes this is posted under “Idolize”. I wouldn’t say Charlie Sheen is an “Idol”, but he is proof that there is no such thing as bad publicity. At least when talking from a purely monetary standpoint without moral judgement.
After his embarrassingly brash and seemingly drug crazed 20/20 interview, Charlie created a Twitter account. Within 24 hours he was topping 1 million followers, to set a record for fastest new Twitter user to get to 1 million. He is now parlaying that into lucrative endorsement/sponsored revenue utilizing his now catch phrase hashtag #winning. He calls it a “cash cow”.
Controversy creates traffic. The ability to spot it and capitalize on the viral power of that without becoming emotional frazzled is what sets him apart in this case.
Did the public just get played big time by Charlie Sheen? You be the judge.

I know that down deep Charlie Sheen is probably a good person, such a shame…
Maybe now Martin Sheen has been fired from Two And A Half Men they should replace him with the rather smaller Michael Fox… and just call the show Two Men
Very well written post. Its sad that Charlie Sheen is gone. Let’s hope he gets cleaned up soon.
